Well, just the site, actually.
I’ve found some hours after the second instalment of Robomeks to tweak the look and way this site is browsed. You’ll notice that the comic pages in the home page are gone now. That’s something I wanted to get rid of since the start. Now you are shown two options when you load this site: keep reading from the last instalment or start from the beginning, so everything is easier for everybody. Returning readers will be able to read the story in the way it was meant to be from the start: page by page. And new readers have the chance to go directly where they probably want: the beginning of the story.
There’re also some minor or less obvious changes and/or additions.
Browsing the pages is now easier thanks to those huge arrow-like things in the top and the bottom of each comic page. There’s also a link under each page which directs to a section where you can see all the pages in a given chapter, so you can jump directly to the page you want or have a global glimpse of the story so far. It’s pretty close to the browsing options of a printed comic.
Also, the menu has moved from the header to the left sidebar. And the majority of the content in the right sidebar has disappeared. Most of the stuff there previously was just cluttering the site or were redundant choices. I’ve tried to keep it simple and to the point. In fact, that’s the whole idea of this redesign: just the things the site needs and as easy to use and understand as possible.
So this is it so far. I’ll keep tweaking this site now and then but I think the basic layout and browsing abilities will remain. The next changes will mainly focus on the design since right now the general look is quite raw.
