It was broken. So I fixed it…

It was broken

Then it broke again, but in a different way.

You see, I noticed there were a bunch of pages that weren’t properly ported from the old Webcomic 2.0 plugin to the new (and last) one. The posts of those comic pages were placed in the “Uncategorized” category apart from the category of the comic they belong to, so I corrected that.

By doing so all the comic pages became “orphaned” for some reason, meaning they weren’t displaying anymore as they weren’t “attached” to a blog page now. So, I created new ones and placed the pages there to correct this.

But…

WordPress doesn’t allow to move comments from one post to another, so all the comments from those pages are gone now. Well, not gone technically, but you can’t see them anymore as they’re now in pages that aren’t shown.

I’ve tried to move them to the new pages using several plugins, but it hasn’t worked so far. The main problem here is that the new Webcomic plugin (the necessary tool I use to publish all my comics) uses now its own post type (meaning they’re now a special kind of post), so they aren’t listed in any drop down list of any of the plugins I tried.

So, some of your comments aren’t around anymore. Sorry for that.

The pages affected are:

  • Cracks: From page 04 to page 14 (yep, ouch)
  • Robomeks: Part 03 – page 08
  • Robomeks (spanish): Part 03 – page 15

Hopefully all this won’t break the RSS feeds and email updates too much.

TL;DR : Some of the comments in some pages are gone now and quoting that guy: “It’s not my fault!”
