Part 01 – Page 72 | Parte 01 – Página 72

The team reunited again. More or less. There’s still the problem of Ace being trapped, so they’re not exactly together, but they’re certainly closer. In the same 10m2 (107.639104167097 square feet), at least. Aproximately. Uhmm… OK, they’re actually not reunited again but, look! Two giant robots!

See you next Monday, when a new page will be published.

And the crowd. Goes. Wild.

After brief debate over whether I was influencing the course of events or just correctly called what was coming ( kneeling versus safety shutdown ), I’ve concluded that I really don’t mind either way.

Let’s get ready to rrrrumble! :D

Ahhh, your mighty powers are admirable, but they are puny against my master plan. The big robots battle was planned way before the previous page. It’s one of the key moments that I’ve been wanted to reach for a long time. Just another check on my wishlist for this part, so to speak. The storyboard is usually about 10 pages ahead of the current page (usually more), and the whole plot has been rock solid and unaltered since page 1 (unaltered by external factors, but I’ll expand on the creation process for this part once it’s finished). So there’s little risk of disruption, unless it’s something that doesn’t affect the plot dramatically or gives me some hints about a fatal flaw I haven’t detected and that may show up later.

So far, that has only affected to the explanation about how the spiders work so, don’t worry, and keep trying! You have my moral support…. wait…

Edit: Oh, and the boosted ninja robot thing. That was a nice move, mr. Gigan. Let’s hope it doesn’t repeat. Hmm!

Oh, I figured we might see a repeat. The really interesting question is how specific the spider programming is. If the one Vincent retrieved didn’t go boom off-camera, and he decided to reattach it once they’d popped the top on a nice refreshing can of Ace… It’d boost up with the other bot attacking it in its reticle. Game on.

Out of curiosity, how dangerous is the stuff in that can? I think they’re going to want to get Ace out of there fast, since if that thing gets dropped, goes rolling, etc, he’s gonna be buried alive in sediment. Fast might involve tearing the bottom off that canister, so yeah.

Let’s assume both are actual questions:

First: It didn’t go boom. This time was Vincent the one who retrieved it, not one of those clumsy goons. How were they able to control the offending robot will be explained on next page, but that’s an easy guess. There’ll be a little nice surprise for our heroes, also, which will inevitably determine who’ll be the winner this time around.

Second (the actual question): Those nanites would be dangerous if active, which isn’t the case, as they’re inspired by the grey goo scenario. The main danger was getting burnt along with them and the sand they’re mixed with. That and suffocation. They’ll try to get him out of there, but first they’ll need to force the other robot into it. About Ace being buried on release, well, it’ll depend on how compressed the sand in that container is and how the process of releasing evolves.
