She’s back. And she isn’t happy.

By the way, tomorrow Robomeks will be 1 year old. I’m quite bad at celebrations, but I’ll try to make something special.

See you next Friday, when a new page will be published.

My initial reaction of “Aw, no more hot CPU” was immediately drowned out by “Wait, did I actually just say that out-loud?”

Then I got to thinking about the larger implications of this.

We assumed that Pulsar (that’s what I’m calling her, Sexy CPU just gets awkward) was some kind of fully-unlocked version of the van’s onboard AI. But if that were the case, repeating the unlock password should re-unlock her. Also, the timing of this is all very odd – for Pulsar to show up right the Robomeks got involved in the chase is more than a little suspicious. That, and no sanely-designed security system in existence gives you HINTS on how to break it. Pulsar gave the Robomeks a riddle with the unlock password as the solution. That makes no sense, which suggests that things aren’t as they seem.

I could be wrong, and this whole incident could simply be a biproduct of old, poorly maintained, lowest-bidder design. But it seems to me that somebody with a lot of computer skill has taken a personal interest in the Robomeks. The question is who – or possibly what, now that we know about the rebellious ‘smart’ AI’s.

As a side note, “Granny” is a fun character in her own right, so I’m not *too* torn up over Pulsar’s absence.

Thumb up 0 Thumb down 0

Good thinking there. I wish I could give you a more satisfactory answer, but all this will make sense before part 02 ends. All I can say right now is that everything is related in Robomeks. And, quoting Allen, it isn’t over until the fat lady sings.
