Ace turns and shoots the robot while Darkstar carries the two injured boys towards the interior of the Sanctuary. Inside, Vincent is crouching in front of the girl, connected to the metallic band, while Witty observes him, anxious. All Ace can see of the leaner robot is a huge hole full of all kind of pointy and noisy things, which have the only purpose of turn big chunks of anything into smaller things. Meanwhile, in the virtual representation of the interior of the metallic band, Vincent's avatar has raised his arms towards the polygonal tree while Pulsar issues him instructions from behind. The roots that where before wrapping the girl's brain (the icon of her brain, to be precise) are now moving towards Vincent.
