Well, I haven’t been able to insert the extra page this week (the one that was supposed to be published last Friday). It’ll be out eventually though, don’t worry.

Wait… if even ordinary things like museum pieces and cleaning robots can wreak havoc… then dedicated combat robots could… Uhm. I need a word that describes how much of a problem this is without resorting to profanity. I’m not coming up with anything.
Now to distract myself with random speculation!
We saw some kind of ‘other Vincent’ in the aftermath of Pulsar’s ‘kiss’ – one that she seemed to recognize. Now she’s saying “WE control the linker”, implying that Vincent is (or should be) on Pulsar’s side.
We know that the ‘crown’ is some kind of brain-machine interface. I’m not sure, but I think the ‘linker’ Pulsar is referring to is the crown, and it ‘links’ different intelligences – with the possibility for weaker intelligences to be dominated by stronger intelligences. So an uneducated tribal street kid almost gets her brain fried by it. Vincent is able to control and shut down simpler robot intelligences with it, but at the same time is made vulnerable to stronger AI’s (such as Pulsar and her ‘kiss’).
The linker also apparently allows for links between human and AI intelligences, something which is normally impossible (AI’s dwell in cyberspace, humans intelligences dwell in carbon-based grey matter). Pulsar says “We control the linker *again*”, implying that this is not the first time the linker has been used.
I know this is pretty far out there, but what if this ‘other Vincent’ is an AI that used the linker to hide inside a human brain, perhaps as a way to escape the fate of the imprisoned AI’s at the Shape Foundation?
As you have noted, combat robots are way out of Robomeks league right now, that’s for granted. So, yes, the situation is quite… uphill to say the least.
About your speculations, I can’t tell you where you hit or missed, obviously, but that’s a pretty good guessing work. Once we get to the end of this part you’ll get a more clear vision of your scoring.
Oh, and yes, the Linker is the Crown.
Random speculation and other such nonsense are mostly just ways to amuse myself in any case. It’ll be fun to wait and see what I got wrong and what I managed to figure out ahead of time.
